Incorporating the Down to Earth products into my daily routine has been a breeze! Like the All Over Wash and Body Lotion has completely replaced my night time moisturisers for my body and body wash.

Formulated to nurture while it cleans with the help of aloe ferox, honeybush, grape seed and palmarosa oils, it works to prevent moisture-loss, and protects sensitive skin and scalp. If there is one thing that this body lotion does, is that it leaves skin soft and plump, nurturing those with sensitive skin.

Okay, I’m going to keep it real with you guys. A lot of beauty products have come my way and I would like to think I have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to skincare. So when Down to Earth landed on my beauty desk, I was sceptical.

I thought here is another brand that is all organic and natural and will never show results. They proved me wrong. This brand has by far surpassed my wildest expectations because I am actually seeing POSITIVE results! The Lotions and Body wash have been extremely gentle on my skin and actually repairing it the more I use it! It really is such an amazing product and they even have an award to show for it! Our Review
These products really do stand out due to their unusual and very funny names, but apart from the catchy branding, the products were really good. And not just one of them. All of them. I adore that these products are cruelty free and completely vegan. So that means 100% natural ingredients that are perfect for sensitive skin gals like myself.
I’m yet to see any lifting happening in my derrière region from the “Pop Art” cream, but here’s hoping..
My skin feels super supple and deliciously soft. I especially find that with body washes, it strips your skin from all moisture and this one certainly doesn’t which is a huge win for a shower gel!
All in all, I am super chuffed with the brand.

I can’t resist a body oil, and this one did not disappoint. Absolutely love the all-natural scent of coconut with a hint of Lime. Applying body oils onto damp skin (they absorb better) are great and found this one to be very hydrating. The key oils include Baobab, pawpaw & sweet almond. I also like that it can double up as a bath oil. This is a real bliss-inducing oil that is a treat to use.

Rose Water Face Mist- R160

A beautifully hydrating and uplifting fine mist spray, that can be used on your face as well as on your linen. Because of the inclusion of Colloidal Silver in this product, the Rose Mist is also soothing and gentle, healing skin inflammations. It too assists with skin tone and is a fabulous ‘pick-me-up’ on a low day.

Face & Eye Oil is extremely hydrating with brightening properties. Using a good facial oil on acne-prone skin can be life-changing. The reason for this is.. a pimple is basically dead skin cells and oils (sebum) mixed together that clogs pores. I experienced absolutely no breakouts!

Ask yourself this, does oil and water (water-based product) mix? No it does not. Do oil and oil mix? Yes, it does. So, by applying the facial oil will ensure that the oil mixes into the clogged pores withdrawing and cleaning out impurities.

Why we love it

I was quite nervous trying this Clay mask as I had such a bad experience in the past. But I tried it and I loved it! This formula is super gentle on the skin and truly gives it a deep clean. This combined with the exfoliating mud, in the shower is magic!

Our Review

If you are looking for an at-home spa-like skin treatment then Skinfrésh is it. Sensitive skin gals need not worry, as the products are super gentle on your skin with no irritation. I was excited to learn that all these products can be used in different ways. Like using your facial oil as a makeup remover. Or by mixing all the above products, you can create an intense hydrating mask. I think that’s what I like most about this brand. Products that are so versatile! It makes you feel like it’s worth every penny spent.

All in all, SUPER impressed by these products and can’t express enough of how spa-like quality the products hold. It’s simply beautiful. xx

Defy Grey with John Frieda

It was a hot summer’s night. “M” and I slumped on the couch catching up on our TV series. Feeling the cool breeze coming in from the front door, my long brunette hair glides like silk onto my face obstructing my vision. The laziness has taken full force as I ask “M” to gently stroke my hair away. He leans up close, moves my hair away and continues to glide my locks back. Mini K-Beauty Haul!

Let me just start by saying I’m a sucker for all things cute and gimicy.
Cute packaging? “Sold!” If it has the word ‘Mini’ in it- “Put ’em in my basket please!”

Yip, Im that person!

So did my need for all things cutesey cloud my judgment on my recent beauty haul? Maybe a little.. But I dont care because I have been itching to get my hands on some K-Beauty products and that I did!

Korean Beauty is slowly becoming the ultimate regime for soft, glowing skin. K- beauty routines focus on perfecting the appearance of your skin, to have you looking healthy and glowy, therefore, makeup application is kept light and minimal.

K-Beauty Mini Haul

Korean skincare and makeup products are well beyond most western technology and the quality and innovation of Korean products supersedes many popular western brands we use today. A proper K-beauty routine takes time and commitment but rest assured your skin will see the results.

My mini K-beauty haul consisted of the TonyMoly and the too cool for school brands. The packaging is just adorable and as for the products, pretty damn impressed to say the least! So here is what I bought:

TonyMoly Pocket Bunny Mist

This packaging is just!! (Insert heart-eyed emoji) How could you not want to own these adorable little bunnies, especially the sad faced one!? The Pocket Bunny Hydrating Mist is amazing. It is infused with raspberry, strawberry, peach, and baobab tree extracts for long lasting hydration. Created with the celtic waters from the French park Vosges du Nord, your skin will receive ample nutrition though the included minerals.

It’s beautiful fragrance adds to the delicate mist when sprayed on your face. I like to apply it after I’ve cleansed my face in the morning and sometimes in the evening for a little extra hydration. My skin is feeling so dry lately and this is the perfect little added hydration that it needs. It’s also great to use throughtout the day just to give your skin a little wake me up leaving it dewy and fresh!

Look at that Shimmer!

The Petite Bunny Gloss Bar is the cutest little gloss you could possibly own! It leaves a delicate gloss on your lips. It’s not an overpowering gloss at all which is suitable to use on a daily basis and it leaves your lips feeling super soft too!

Too Cool For School Jelly Blusher:

Another brand that caught my eye was the too cool for school k- beauty brand. I added to my cart, this cute little blusher tin because I was intrigued on seeing what a jelly blusher looked and felt like. Upon recieving it, my first reaction was, “OMG I paid R150 bucks for this little itsy bitsy tin!” No guys, it’s small…

The images on the website make it look bigger then what it actually is, but I quickly got over my little panic attack when I slid opened the tin to find the softest most squishiest cream like blusher I had ever seen and felt! The texture is incredible, the pigment is glorious and the colour on the skin is perfection! Well worth the ka-ching!

Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch

I had seen these lip patches all over Hollywood A-listers lips and I knew I needed to try it for myself. The oversized gummy looking patch is a once-only gel lip mask and promises to make lips smooth, soft and kissable.

Kiss Kiss Lip Patch (Retails for R50)

Once out of the pack it was a little hard to manoeuvre into place as it’s quite a slippery little sucker. As indicated, the lip patch should be left on for 20 minures before removing, leaving your lips soft and moisturised.

Well, it hydarted my lips in the slightest but that was pretty much it.. No plumpiness or softness what-so-ever. My lips are super dry, so maybe it’s not ideal for the super dry lips, but it was fun to take photos with!

Apart from the lip patch, I have been loving the products so far!
